Diploma and special prize recipient at the V International Rimsky-Korsakov Young Opera Singers` Competition (2002, St Petersburg).
Prize-winner at the I Georgian Competition of Opera Singers (Tbilisi, 1999).
Prize-winner at the III International Elena Obraztsova Competition (St Petersburg, 2003).
Prize-winner at the International Stanislaw Moniuszko Competition in Poland in 2004.
Finalist of the 2005 International BBC Cardiff Singers of the World Competition.

Born in Moscow. Graduated from the Tbilisi State Saradzhishvili Conservatoire with an MA in singing in 2001. Soloist with the Tbilisi State Paliashvili Opera and Ballet Theatre from 1997 where he performed as the Commendatore (Don Giovanni), Don Basilio (Il barbiere di Siviglia) and Filippo II, Inquisitore (Don Carlo).
Soloist with the Mariinsky Academy of Young Singers since 2002.

With the Mariinsky Opera Company he has performed at the Moscow Easter Festival and the International Stars of the White Nights Festival of Arts (St Petersburg).
Has toured with the company to Paris, Baden-Baden and Mikkeli.
