Elena Karpesh

Born in Belarus. 
Graduated from the vocals faculty of the Byelorussian State Academy of Music in 2006 (class of L.K. Kaslorskaya). Completed a postgraduate study at the Byelorussian State Academy of Music in 2008. 
At the opera studio of the Byelorussian State Opera and Ballet Theatre she performed the role of Tatiana in Tchaikovsky’s opera Eugene Onegin. 
Since 2008 she has been a soloist with the Mariinsky Academy of Young Singers.

Her repertoire at the Mariinsky Theatre includes: 
Nun (The Fiery Angel), 
Manilov's Mother, Bobelina (Dead Souls),
Peasant Woman (Shponka and His Aunt), 
Second Lady (Die Zauberflöte), 
Suor Osmina (Suor Angelica), 
Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi), 
Annina (La traviata),
Rusalka and Princess (Dvořák’s Rusalka).

Her repertoire also includes: 
Liù (Turandot), Adrienne (Adrienne Lecouvreur), Francesca (Francesca da Rimini), Salomé (Hérodiade), Wally (La Wally) and Armida (Rinaldo).

Has performed concerts in the CIS, Germany, France, the Czech Republic and Poland.
