Competition (Ufa, 1995, 1st prize), the I International Irina Arkhipova Television Young Opera Singers? Competition, which was devoted to the 850th anniversary since the founding of Moscow (Moscow, 1997, Grand-prix).
Born in Leningrad. Graduated from the St Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire (class of Professor Gagen, 1998).
Made her Mariinsky Theatre debut on 5 April 1994 as Barbarina (Le nozze di Figaro). Mariinsky Theatre soloist since 1994.

Has performed at the Opera Bastille and the Theatre du Chatelet (France) and the Metropolitan Opera and the Lincoln Center (USA).
In 1998, made her Salzburg Festival debut (Klingsor?s Flower Maiden, Parsifal).
In 1999, made her Metropolitan Opera debut (Prilepa, The Queen of Spades). Has made a CD recording of Stravinsky?s The Nightingale with the London Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Robert Kraft.
Took part in Tony Palmer?s film version of Parsifal (with Plecido Domingo as Parsifal, Violetta Urmana as Kundry, Matti Salminen as Gurnemanz and Nikolai Putilin as Klingsor).
