Ilia GRINGOLTS was born in 1982 in Leningrad. Study in Julliard school, New-York, with I.Perelmann. Laureate of the many international competitions. Made his debut with orchestra (Moscow symphony orchestra under the guiding of V.Ziva), when he was 11 years old at the Grand Hall of Moscow Philharmonia.
Played also of with St.Petersburg philharmonic orchestras, "Moscow soloists" under the guiding of Y.Bashmet, orchestras of Saratov and Nizhny Novgorod.
Performed intensively with leading orchestras of USA, Canada, BBC (London), Melbourne, Tokyo under the guiding of A.Dmitriev, V.Ziva, M.Schostakovich, V.Sinaysky, L.Slatkin etc. Participated in the different International festivals, collaborated with N.Gutman, Y.Bashmet, V.Repin, V.Tretiakov, L.-O.Andsnes. Recorded 4 CDs for Sweden firm "BIS". In March, 2001 signed contract with Deutsche Grammophon.
