On 5 May 2016 at 17.00 (Moscow time) the Mariinsky Orchestra under Valery Gergiev will give a concert Pray for Palmyra. Music revives ancient remains in a famous Roman amphitheater in Palmyra (Syria) 

Today, 29 April, saw the start of a tour of Russia by the Mariinsky Orchestra and Valery Gergiev 

Maestro Valery Gergiev will conduct the opera of Modest Mussorgsky "Boris Godunov" on 26 April 2016 at the Main Stage of Mariinsky theatre

On 23 April, the birthday of Sergei Prokofiev, in Moscow and St Petersburg there will be a Prokofiev Marathon, which will unite the capitals with a chronological series of concerts marking one hundred and twenty-five years since the composer’s birth 

 On 21 April 2016 on the New Stage of Mariinsky theatre  will take place the opera "Otello" by Giuseppe Verdi  conducted by Maestro Valery Gergiev

On 23 April, the day that Prokofiev was born, the celebratory programme opens with a matinee performance by the Mariinsky Orchestra under Valery Gergiev at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow (11:30) 

The latest Mariinsky Theatre tour to Great Britain runs from 14 to 18 April in London and Cardiff 

The I International Far East Festival will run from 30 July to 10 August 2016. This was announced by the festival’s Artistic Director Valery Gergiev during his latest visit to Vladivostok. He stressed that one of the aims of this festival is to bring together participants and fans of classical music from countries throughout the Asian and Pacific Ocean region 

Closing of the XVI International Ballet Festival MARIINSKY will take place at Mariinsky II on 10 April 2016 with  the Ballet Gala Performance: Best dances from different Ballets, featuring soloists of the Opera de Paris and Mariinsky Ballet Stars.
