V International Festival Maslenitsa in Song

The name of the Athenian choir Ἐργαστῆρι Ψαλτικῆς (“Ergastiri Psaltikis”) is translated literally as “Workshop of singing art”. The team was created in 1998. Students, graduate students, businessmen, office workers, university teachers sing in it - all of them are driven by the desire to jointly study and popularize the traditions of Byzantine singing. Ergastiri Psaltikis leads his musical pedigree from the archon-protopsalt (main chant) of the Constantinople Orthodox Church Frasivulos Stanitsas (1910–1987), from whom the team leader Athanasios Payvanas studied. The choir takes part in festivals and forums, performs at theological / scientific conferences, sings at the celebrations of the metropolises, gives concerts in Greece and abroad. In 2002, the group won the first prize among Byzantine choirs at the International Choir Competition in Preveza (Greece).

Ergastiri Psaltikis has seven CDs; the last at the moment - Ἀναστάσεως ἡμέρα (Anastaseos hemera - “Resurrection Day”), recorded in 2016 - includes Triodi Tsvetnaya's chants.

The Ergastiri Psaltikis choir has performed in Russia several times: he sang in the Rachmaninov Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, in the Moscow International House of Music, took part in worship at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, performed at the Academy of Orthodox Music festival in St. Petersburg and at St. Sophia Cathedral in Veliky Novgorod.
