Graduated from the Stage Design Department at the Academy of Musical Arts in Bratislava. Later he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Groningen (the Netherlands). In 1995 he began working as an assistant set designer at the Polish National Opera in Warsaw where he worked on productions of the ballet evening Polish Triptych (choreography by Emil Wesolowski), The Haunted Manor (directed by Andrzej Zulawski), Tancredi (directed by Tomasz Konina) and Madama Butterfly, King Roger, Otello, Eugene Onegin and Don Giovanni (directed by Mariusz Trelinski). His costumes for Trelinski?s Madama Butterfly at the Washington Opera won him great acclaim from the public and critics. His most recent works include Richard II (Polish National Opera, Warsaw, 2004), Il viaggio a Reims (Frankfurt Opera, 2004), The Queen Of Spades (Polish National Opera, Warsaw, 2004) and Otello (Hong Kong Cultural Centre, 2005).
