Borislav Strulev studied at the Moscow Central Music School, won the All-Russian Young Performers Competition as well as a scholarship from the "New Names" Foundation. Since 1994, he has lived in the United States. In 1993, he made his debut at the Kennedy Center, and in 1999 – at Carnegie Hall with pianist Byron Janis. He has toured all over the world, and often appears in Russia. Among his creative partners are soloists D.Matsuev, M.Maysky, D.Berlinsky, A.Markovich, conductors N.Järvi, Yu.Simonov, A.Vedernikov, A.Wit, P.Kogan, as well as many well-known bands including the Evgeny Svetlanov Orchestra, the Mariinsky Theatre orchestra, the Moscow Philharmonic orchestra, "Moscow Virtuosi", the Cologne Symphony, the RAI National Symphony Orchestra in Italy. Performed many premieres of works by contemporary authors – Lou Harrison, John Tavener, Daniel Schnyder and others. He participates in exclusive projects, records CDs and music for film and collaborates with well-known jazz musicians. He is the musical director of the New Millennium Music Hall in New York and has appeared regularly as a producer.
