Marc Bouchkov was born 1991 in Montpellier. At the age
of 5, he began to study the violin with his grandfather Matis
Vaytsner and one year later, he had already performed on stage.
In 2001 Marc entered the C.N.R. of Lyon (class of Claire
Bernard), in 2007 – the C.N.S.M. in Paris (class
of Boris Garlitsky). In 2006, Marc Bouchkov had the privilege
to play for Ivry Gitlis under the auspices of Carnegie’ Small
in Paris. He won the first prize of the International
competition in Liиge, at the age of 17. In 2007,
Bouchkov gained a distinction of the Philharmonic Association
of Lyon, and has received a scholarship. Marc Bouchkov currently
plays a violin by Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume, dated 1865, lent
to him by Brigitte Feldtmann.
During the famous Santander
Festival in Spain, Bouchkov played with Ivan Monighetti, Elisso Virsaladze,
and has also performed with the conductor Peter Csaba. Marc has played
with famous orchestras such as the Hamburger Symphoniker, the Belgian
National, the Brussels Philharmonic, the Royal Philharmonic
of Liиge, Hacettepe Orchestra in Ankara, Impromptu Orchestra
in Paris. At the Elba Summer Festival in Italy, he was
awarded a special prize, which gave him the opportunity to play
solo with the Moscow Soloists and Yuri Bashmet. In 2010, he
received the prize by the CNSM in Paris, and won
the First prize at the “Young Concert Artists” auditions
in Leipzig. He continued his work with Boris Garlitsky in Hamburg,
and won the grant “Ebel-Prize” in 2011. In 2012, he became
a laureate of the Queen Elizabeth Competition in Brussels.
In 2013, he won the First Prize at the Montreal
International Competition.
