Graduated from the St Petersburg Conservatoire. With the Mariinsky theatre since 1978. Has rehearsed Dead Souls, Manon Lescaut, Don Pasquale, La forza del destino, Die Zauberflote, Le nozze di Figaro, La boheme, Khovanshchina, Betrothal in a Monastery (The Duenna), The Gambler, Salome, Parsifal, Lohengrin, tetralogy Der Ring des Nibelungen and Tristan und Isolde.
She has performed with Sergey Leferkus, Vladimir Chernov and Vasily Gerello, and has recorded more than ten discs with Konstantin Pluzhnikov, featuting romances by Russian composers. She has also translated the librettos of Orf, Menotti, Donizetti and Puccini into Russian.
