Prize-winner at the I International Vocalists’ Competition Grand-Prix of St Petersburg.
Graduated from the St Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire in 2002. From 1998–2001 he was a soloist with the Musorgsky Opera and Ballet Theatre (now the Mikhailovsky Theatre).
From 2001–2008 he was a soloist with the Mariinsky Academy of Young Singers. Mariinsky Theatre soloist since 2008.
Has performed over twenty roles at the Mariinsky Theatre including:

In 2005 he made his debut with the Mariinsky Opera Company as Ivan (The Nose) at the Opéra Bastille and as the Conte di Libenskof (Il viaggio a Reims) at the Théâtre du Châtelet. He has taken part in international festivals and has toured to the USA, Great Britain, France, Spain, Germany, Finland and Japan.
