Prize winner at the All-Russian Vocal Competition (Belgorod, 1991).
Graduated from the Rostov Conservatoire in 1991 (class of Professor B. Mazur). Voronezh Opera and Ballet Theatre soloist since 1991, where his repertoire included Alfredo Germont (La traviata), Lensky (Eugene Onegin), Young Gypsy (Aleko) and Turiddu (Cavalleria rusticana).
Joined the Mariinsky Theatre in 1996.
Repertoire includes:
Alfredo Germont (La traviata),
Lensky (Eugene Onegin),
Vladimir (Prince Igor),
Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly),
Radames (Aida),
Don Carlos (Don Carlos),
Antonio (Betrothal in a Monastery),
Melot (Tristan und Isolde),
Requiem by Verdi, Requiem by Mozart and Messa by Schubert.
Has toured with the Mariinsky Opera to Finland, the USA, Japan, Portugal, Luxembourg, Spain and China.Took part in the Exford Music Festival (Ireland) and the Pirolada Music Festival (Spain).
At the Mariinsky Theatre he also performs the role of Canio in Leoncavallo?s I pagliacci.
