Maria Litke

Soprano

Born in Leningrad, in 1999 she graduated from the Vocal department of the Rimsky-Korsakov Music College (class of V. Gagen) and entered the St Petersburg State Conservatory. In 2005 she graduated cum laude from the Conservatory (class of Professor Irina Bogachova, chamber class of T. Lymareva). She made her debut as Marguerite in Gounod’s Faust at the Conservatory Music Theatre, where she was a soloist in 2004-2006. In 2006, she joined the Mikhailovsky Opera Company. She has worked with such conductors as Vasily Sinaisky, Giuliano Carella, Daniele Rustioni, Peter Feranec and such singers as Vladimir Chernov, Elena Obraztsova, José Cura, Neil Shicoff, Badri Maysuradze, Giuseppe Varano among many others.
