Prize-winner at the International Vignas Competition (Barcelona, 1993).

Graduated from the Minsk Academy of Music (Byelorussia) in 1991. Opera soloist first with the Moscow Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Musical Theatre, then with the Russian Opera and Ballet Theatre (Yekaterinburg).
In 1995, she made her debut at the Teatro Comunale in Florence as Amelia in Verdi?s Un ballo in maschera.
Performed the same role at the Wiener Staatsoper in 1996.
Mariinsky Theatre soloist since 1999.

With the Mariinsky Opera Company she has toured to the UK, Italy, the USA, Austria, Finland and Germany. Has taken part in festivals in Mikkeli (Finland), Rotterdam, Tel Aviv and Solothurn (Switzerland).
Has performed two concert programmes in Boston. Made her Washington Opera debut in 2002 as Lady Macbeth (Macbeth).
Made her Metropolitan Opera debut in the same role in 2003.
In 2004, she made her debut at the Ljubljana Opera House as Aida.
