IGOR BUTMAN was born in 1961 in Leningrad. He graduated from the School of Music named after Mussorgsky saxophone. Another student began playing in the ensemble David Goloschekin, participated in concerts and recordings, "Popular Mechanics" by Sergei Kuriokhin, groups of "Cinema" and "Aquarium". In 1983 he worked in the orchestra of Oleg Lundstrem from 1984 - in the ensemble "Allegro." In 1987, the artist moved to the U.S., went to Berklee College of Music, graduating in specialties "concert saxophonist" and "composer". Performed and recorded with Grover Washington, Dave Brubeck, Chick Corea, Gary Burton, and other well-known jazz musicians. In 1993, the New York firm «Impromptu» released his solo album, Igor Butman «Falling Out». In 1997 and 1998, the musician was the organizer and producer of Independent jazz festivals in Moscow. Recorded in 1997 solo album "Nostalgia" was the best-selling jazz CDs. In 1999, saxophonist organized his Jazz Band - Big Band of Igor Butman, which play the best Russian musicians. Igor Butman, wearing the unofficial title of "golden saxophone Russia", cooperating with major jazz musicians of our time, and academic, playing in the most prestigious concert venues, participating in festivals held in Germany, France, Italy, Finland, Bulgaria and Turkey.
