Fanie Antonelou

Soloist

Fanie Antonelou was born in Athens in 1979. From an early age she attended singing, piano and music theory lessons. In 2000 Fanie received her degree in singing, and in 2004 — in piano, both with distinction. Along with classical lessons she has also studied Early and Byzantine music. Currently Fanie continues her singing studies at the Hochschule fuer Musik in Stuttgart (classes of Prof. Dunja Vejzovic and Prof. Cornelis Witthoefft). She has actively participated in master-classes with H. Rilling, I. Cotrubas, P. Montarsolo, R. Carson. As a soloist Fanie appeared in numerous concerts and opera productions in Greece and abroad. In March 2005 she won the Grand Prix in the category Oratorio-Lied at the Maria Callas Grand Prix competition in Athens.
