Aigul Khismatullina was born in Naberezhny Chelny in the Republic of Tatarstan. In 2009 she graduated from Nizhnekamsky College of Music where she studied with Honoured Figure of Culture V.A. Konin. From 2009 to 2014 she studied at the Kazan State Conservatory with Honoured Artist of Russia, People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan K. Khairutdinova. From 2014-2016 she completed post graduate studies in the Kazan State Conservatory with People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan A. Shagimuratova.

As part of the Opera Studio she participated in productions during the Kazan Autumn Festival (Kazan Kremlin, 2010), The Source of Skill (St Petersburg, 2013), Classics on the Volga (Tolyatti, 2013, 2014). In 2015, by invitation of world renowned pianist Boris Berezovsky, she took part as a guest in the All Russia Music of the Earth Festival-Competition.

Since April 2016 she has been a member of the opera company of the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre.

Since September 2017 she has been a participant of the international educational project The Atkins Young Artists Program(based at the Mariinsky Theatre).

In February 2018 she made her successful debut on the Historic Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre in St Petersburg in the lead role of the Stravinsky’s Le rossignol.

Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte, W.A. Mozart)
Gilda (Rigoletto, Guiseppe Verdi)
Swan-Bird (The Tale of the Tsar Saltan, N. Rimsky-Korsakov)

A Pale Lady (The Gambler, S. Prokofiev)
