Ekaterina SannikovaSopranoEkaterina Sannikova was born in Ternopil (Ukraine) in 1992. She graduated from the St Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire (class of Olga Kondina).
During 2016/17 season she has appeared at the at the Conservatoire Theatre, Theatre Music Hall and Zazerkalie.
In September of 2017, Sannikova took part in the opening of a new season at the Opéra de Nice, where she performed Rachmaninoff’s Vocalise under the baton of Fabio Mastrangelo.
Sannikova is a prize-winner of the Three Centuries of Russian Romance festival and competition in St Petersburg (1st prize, 2016) and the International Romansiada Vocal Competition in Moscow (1st prize, 2017).
Since 2017 Sannikova has been a fellow of the Atkins Young Artists Program at the Mariinsky Theatre.
Repertoire at the Mariinsky Theatre includes: Mimì (La bohème) Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte) Princess Olga (The Maid of Pskov) Vera (The Noblewoman Vera Sheloga) Domna Ivanovna (The Tsar's Bride) Solo part in Symphony No. 8 by Gustav Mahler
Sannikova’s repertoire includes the roles of Iolanta (Iolanta), Tatiana (Eugene Onegin), Volkhova (Sadko), Marguerite (Faust), Micaela (Carmen), Kupava (The Snow Maiden), Nedda (I pagliacci), as well as songs and vocal cycles of various composers from different epochs.
