Sabrie Bekirova

Sabrie Bekirova graduated from the St. Petersburg Conservatory after studying as a violinist with Prof. E. Komarova and as a conductor with Professors I. Musin and Y. Temirkanov (Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra).
From 1996 to 1998 was a guest conductor of the Karelian State Philharmonic. 
In 1997 and 1998, participated as a teacher in the international master - classes of orchestral conducting, conducted with the support of the Institute of conductors (North Carolina, USA). From 2000 to 2002 Guest Conductor of the theatre "Sankt - Petersburg Opera." In 2002 was appointed conductor of the Saint -Petersburg Symphony Orchestra of popular and classical music, performing in various concert halls in St. Petersburg over a 5 year period.

Sabrie Bekirova repeatedly participated in many prestigious international festivals, among them: 
International Festival "Time of Music" (Finland, Mr. Viitasaari 2004), where she conducted the concerts of contemporary music written by well known composers from Finland and Russia.
International Festival "Sound Ways", where works of great contemporary composers like Slonimsky, Ustvolskaya, Radvilovich, Rezetdinova, Koroliov were successfully performed. 
"Terem - Festival of World Music", the famous ensemble of soloists from the Netherlands "Sexteto - Canqenque"
St. Petersburg Festival "Musical Spring" (2004).

Sabrie Bekirova has performed with: the Symphony Orchestra of Radio and Television of Finland, the Symphony Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theatre, as well as the Symphony Orchestra of the "Chamber Philharmonic" in St. Petersburg. 
She regularly works with orchestras such as: Academic Symphony Orchestra of St. Petersburg Philharmonic, Radio Symphony Orchestra of Armenia (Yerevan), National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia (Caucasus Mineral Waters). Sochi Chamber Orchestra. From 2004 to 2008 she taught conducting at the St. Petersburg State University of Culture and the Arts.

Since 2008 and currently serves as Chief Conductor of the State Theatre of Opera and Ballet of the North Ossetia-Alania Republic (Artistic Director of Theatre Larisa Gergieva). During this time, Sabrie Bekirova conducted various operas with the participation of famous singers from the Mariinsky Theatre. Conducted new productions of such operas as "Iolanta" Tchaikovsky, "Manon Lescaut" Puccini, "Carmen" Bizet, "Eugene Onegin" Tchaikovsky, "Faust" Gounod, Verdi's La Traviata, etc. Annually participates in the musical Festival organized by Larisa Gergieva.
. For her enormus contribution to the musical life of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, she was awarded a diploma from the Parliament of the Republic in 2009. In April 2009 she was awarded the "Theatre Mask" award for best conductor's work, marking her successful interpretation of "Karmen" by Bizet and "Faust" by Gounod. On the 25th of March 2010 Sabrie Bekirova was granted the honorable title "The Honoured artist of the Republic North Ossetia-Alania" for the contribution in the development of musical art in the Republic. 

From 2011 to 2015 Sabrie Bekirova gave classes in orchestral conducting in the Rimsky-Korsakov Musical College combining teaching with concert performances as a conductor. Since 2014 she has been the invited conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra of the Republic Bashkortastan.From 2013 to 2014 Sabrie Bekirova was invited to France for conducting the operas "Cavalleria rusticana" by Mascagni, "Pagliacci" by Leoncavallo, "Betrothal in a Monastery" by Prokofiev in the Opera House (Opera du Capitole de Toulouse). 
Since 2015 Sabrie Bekirova has been a professor of orchestral conducting in Institut superieur des Arts de Toulouse. At the same time she has been cooperating with Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse (ONCT).Since 2016 she has been working with the symphony orchestra in Opera i Filharmonia Podlaska-Bialystok (Poland). Sabrie Bekirova was described as an interesting and talanted musician possessing brilliant conductor technics.She has been working in different genres and styles possessing large opera and symphony repertoire.
