The «Divertissement» was organized in 1990 by well-known violinist, talented teacher and St-Petersbourg conservatory professor Elena Komarova. Since 1998-99 concert season the orchestra has been headed by new leader-violinist Ilya Ioff. The «Divertissement» members are participants and winners of different international competitions. They are expert professionals and representatives of St.Petersburg violin school, and that is why the orchestra is so successful. "Divertissement" plays different kinds of music from ancient to modern and ultra modern. Splendid soloists like to play with "Divertissement". Among them there are worldwide known - Lubov Kazarnovskaia, Grigori Sokolov, Julian Milkis, Igor Uriash and so on. "Divertissement" had a big success while touring Riga, Moscow, Goeteborg, Brussels, Frankfurt.
