The Russian Symphony Orchestra “New Russia” was found in 1990. In 2002, Yuri Bashmet, became by Music Director and Chief Conductor, opened new page in history of the orchestra. Under his leadership “New Russia” obtained its unique style of musical interpretation. Every performance of the orchestra stimulates feeling of birth of Music in audience.
Renowned musicians such as Valeri Gergiyev, Emil Tabakov, Johannes Vildner, Vladimir Ashkenazi, Saulus Sondetskis, Peter Donaghow, Boris Berezovsky, Viktor Tretyakov, Natalia Gutman and others collaborate with “New Russia”. “For me it was genuine pleasure to play and, above all, to devote myself to Music with such splendid, sharp and highly professional orchestra as The Russian Symphony Orchestra ‘New Russia’ is,” —Vladimir Krainov noted after one of concerts.

In the Moscow Philharmonia the orchestra regularly gives season ticket concerts with different programs turned to adults and youngest generation. The Russian Symphony Orchestra gives lot of guest performances around the world. It repeatedly gave guest performances in France, Great Britain, Italy, Germany, Greece, Turkey and Finland. In summer 2006, the orchestra is going on a tour with Yenisei (Siberian river), including Krasnoyarsk, Turukhansk, Igarka, Lesosibirsk, Dudinka and Narilsk.
