Alexandra Dovgan was born in 2007. Dovgan currently studies at the Moscow Central Music School of the Moscow Conservatory (Mira Marchenko’s class). She is a winner of the Villahermosa Internet Contest (Mexico, 2014), the International Ural Prokofiev Competition (Yekaterinburg, 2015), the International Safonov Young Pianists Competition (Pyatigorsk, 2015), the All-Russian Music Talents Internet Contest (2015), the International Nutcracker Television Contest (Moscow, 2017), the Vladimir Krainev Moscow International Piano Competition (Moscow, 2017), and the International Astana Piano Passion Competition (2017). Dovgan received the grand prix at the 2018 International Grand Piano Competition. The young pianist has taken part in various international festivals and has toured in Russia and abroad. Dovgan receives scholarships from the New Names Foundation, the Vladimir Spivakov Foundation, and the Mstislav Rostropovich Foundation. Information for May 2018
